To the average person, computer security can seem like a scary, complex, expensive and ever changing battlefield. Many computer users resign to the difficulties, seeing security as something only to be handled by an IT professional. This is not true! Professional techs can offer extensive protection when needed but basic computer security can be cheap and easy for anybody. There are many simple practices that non-technical people can use to keep themselves and their businesses safe and minimize the costly risks of downtime, data theft, and most importantly, data loss.
In this presentation Charlie will identify common risks and go over several simple things non-technical computer users can do to protect themselves. Along with other helpful docs, attendees will be given a valuable, easy to complete safety checklist to use back at their offices or homes. It will help attendees identify where their own vulnerabilities exist so they can start insuring themselves against costly computer problems today.
Charlie Meyer has over 10 years experience as a small business technology consultant. He is currently the owner and manager of Sudora Computer Services.
